Please Note: The SeaSucker Hornet is a niche product that works with hatchbacks, SUV's or minivans only. It MUST be mounted on the rear window of these vehicles. Please do NOT roof mount this bike rack as it is NOT designed for this purpose
The SeaSucker Hornet single bike rack is a small-scale revolution. Dubbed the “Smallest Bike Rack in the World”; so compact it fits into an included 241 mm x 178 mm x 76 mm zippered case. The SeaSucker Hornet is far and away the most travel-friendly rack on the market, but it works equally well for everyday use.
The Hornet is our first “leave-the-front-wheel-on” bike rack and will mount to the back window of any hatchback, SUV or minivan. It uses two SeaSucker 114 mm Vacuum Mounts (each rated to 45 kg pull-strength). The Vacuum Mounts are used to hold the handlebars and hang a bike weighing not more than 15 kg from the rear glass.
Plastic ladder straps secure both road and mountain bike handle bars to the vacuum mounts. This makes attaching and removing your bike from the SeaSucker Hornet a breeze. As with all SeaSucker bike racks, the pump-action vacuum mounts also allow the user to attach the bike rack in just seconds.
Simply attach the two vacuum mounts onto the back window, close the ladder straps around the handle bars and you’re done. And when it comes time to remove it, the SeaSucker Hornet detaches quickly and packs away neatly into its zippered carrying case. The SeaSucker Hornet also comes with a safety strap that loops around the bike’s steer tube and into a sewn in cam buckle. The strap’s tail has a built in plastic peg that, when closed in the hatchback, secures the strap to the car.
